Travel through the history and culture of  Macedonia , Albania, and Kosovo


Day 1  Skopje  

The journey starts with pick up from airport or hotel , then continues with city tour in Skopje  where will visit : “Fortress, Old bazaar, Church st. spas,  Mustafa pasha mosque, Kurshumli and the Turkish hamams” . Then Stone bridge and Macedoni square Inc. Mother Theresa memorial house.  After finishing the tour you will have a welcome dinner and then will be accommodated in 3 * hotel.

Day 2 Skopje-Ohrid

After breakfast in the hotel, will visit Matka kanyon,  Tetovo painted mosque and then continue via Ohrid ( 3 hour tour in Old part).  Lunch in Skopje or Ohrid. Dinner and accommodation in 3 * hotel.

Day 3 Tirana-Kruja

After breakfast in the hotel in Ohrid you will travel 140 km from Ohrid to Tirana for around 2h.  Around 11:00 you will be in Tirana where you will visit, Skenderbeu Square, Opera, Ethem Beu Mosque , Tirana’s main boulevard promenade, Pyramid, walking in the part known as “Blloku” , Orthodox Cathedral . After visiting the Cathedral the tour will continue for a visit on a “Farmhouse” where you will try  some self-made specialties by the family that belongs the farm  like cheese, olives, honey and wine.

Then the tour continues via Kruja where you will travel around 40 km. After arrival in Kruja will have dinner and accommodate in 3 * hotel.

Day 4 Kruje-Shkoder-Prizren

After breakfast in the hotel in Kruja , you will have a short city tour in Kruja then continue to Shkodra where will travel 85km for around 1h.

In Shkoder visit Rozafa Castle, St Stephen’s Cathedral, Historical Museum. After visiting the Historical Museum at 13:00 you will have lunch. After lunch in 14:00 you will travel 185 km from Shkodra to Prizren, around 16:00 you will be in Prizren where will be accommodated in 3* hotel and have dinner too. In the evening you can have a short walking in Shatervani Square.


Day 5  Prizren-Gjakova-Deçan-Peja

After breakfast 8:00 in hotel in Prizren you will visit: Stone Bridge , Gazi Mehmet Pasha Hamam, House Museum, Sinan Pasha Mosque,  Marashi ( 400 years old tree ), Filigree stores , Castle of Prizren.

After finishing the tour in Prizren  will travel 40km from Prizren to Gjakova for 1h. After arrival in Gjakova at 11:30  you will visit Tailors Bridge, Ethnographic Museum, Bektashi Tekke and around  12:30 you will have lunch, after lunch at 13:30 you will travel 30 km from Gjakova to Decan for 30 min.
After arrival in Decan you will visit Decani Monastery. After visiting the monastery in 14:30 you will travel 16km from Deçan to Peja. After arrival in Peja you will visit  “Tahir Bey Old Traditional House” , “Bajrakli Mosque ”, , “Patriarchate Monastery” , and the The Old Long Bazaar Street. After visiting the Bazaar you will go to hotel and make a check in for one night stay and have dinner too.

Day 6  Gadime-Pristina

After breakfast in hotel in Peja , you will travel 90 km from Peja to Gadime for around 2h. After arrival in Gadime, you will visit the Marble  cave. Then you will travel 25km from Gadime to Prishtina for 30 min. After arrival in Pristina you will visit Cathedral ”Mother Teresa”, National Library, Campus of University, Orthodox Church, New Born Monument, Skenderbeg Monument, Government, Parliamang, Old part of the city, Clock Tower, Fatih Sulltan Mehmet Mosque, Old Bazar, Ethnological Museum. Travelling around the city ends with Ethnological Museum, then you will go to hotel, make a check in for one night stay and have dinner too.

Day 7

Transfer to airport or bus station.

Prishtina is the largest city in Kosovo, and its capital. It has around 572 square kilometers, with its 48 surrounding villages. It holds 400 thousand inhabitants within the city, while with the villages it holds around 470 thousand. After the flux, of the last ten years, it is estimated to hold between 500,000 and 600,000 inhabitants. Most of them being ethnic Albanian, however there are other minorities such as Turks, Bosnians, Roma, Serbians etc.

Prishtina can be reached via different routes, since as a capital city it has good links with the world and other cities in Kosovo.

The International Airport of Prishtina is located 18 km South of Prishtina and 3 km South of village Sllatina; however it is not more than 80 km away from any other city in Kosovo. From the airport, probably the best way from the airport is taxi service, costing 10-15 euro.

The traffic may be, occasionally, jammed due to constant reconstruction of roads and bridges. For a lower cost ties with Prishtina, one may definitely try by bus. There is no transportation linking downtown Prishtina with the Bus Station, however the distance can be easily walked in about 2 minutes. One may also use taxi services, located outside at the Bus Station.

Then from Prishtina to other cities connected to railroad. The main train station is in Fushe Kosove, 7 km West of Prishtina. The train station in Prishtina is located 1 km away from downtown Prishtina.
